The Canon EOS 1300D, or Rebel T6 as it's known in North America, is Canon's latest entry-level DSLR. Announced in March 2016, it's a minor update to the 1200D / T5 launched two years previously.

"I have recorded many videos by Canon EOS 1300D. The videos showed as H.264 MOV format. I've been trying to figure out how to edit the Canon EOS Rebel T6 MOV in Final Cut Pro, but get no effective result. Do I need to rewrap the H.264 MOV to some formats that Apple ProRes MOV support better?"

Whether you get older or latest camera from Canon EOS series in hand, you must have experienced a terrible editing process with its H.264 encoded MOV files in FCP 6/7 or FCP X like above user. Any possible solution?

In order to make Canon EOS 1300D/Rebel T6 footages editable in FCP 6/7/X, you have to convert H.264 MOV to ProRes 422, the codec which is proved to be the most compatible one with FCP.

You are provided with five options, including Apple ProRes 422 HQ (*.mov), Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov), Apple ProRes 422 (LT) (*.mov), Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) (*.mov) and ProRes 4444 (*.mov).

We at UFUSoft naturally recommends the ProRes Converter: HD Video Converter for Mac. With it, you also can easily transfer all popular formats like MP4, H.264, MXF, MTS, AVCHD, VOB, MPG, etc. to Apple ProRes 422, ProRes 4444 in Mac with a few clicks. Below is the step by step guide.
